SK Light modified Winner and 4-time Legend Car Champion 🏁 2019 Seekonk Legends Champion 🏆

Due to extensive damage in last weeks wreck, we will not be able to defend our King of the Crate title tomorrow. This was one of those wrecks that will sideline us for an extended period as we start the rebuild process. The more we dug in, the worse it got. It could be 2 weeks, it could be 2 months, but I assure you will be back as soon as we are 100% confident in the car again.

I am incredibly thankful for those who reached out and offered help and some who even offered their cars to help get us there tomorrow. As a team we take a lot of pride in our FEWLR #50 and have chosen to live and die with our single bullet. It’s wounded now but it will be fixed in time, and we will return when it’s 100% and ready to compete for wins again.

We will do our best to share progress on the rebuild process over the next few weeks. See you at the track soon!

FEWLR night at Stafford Motor Speedway had its ups and downs. The team had the opportunity to meet many of their business partners and we had a great time in the hospitality area.

We had a great car and after being boxed in early we were coming to the front. We were setting up some passes to break into the top 5 when our nose got chopped and unfortunately we got airborne again and ended up in the wall. It seems like we always end up wrecked when we have a winning car.

I am ok, the car is not. Due to it being a short week it is highly unlikely we will have the car ready in time to defend my king of the crate title on Wednesday. We haven’t fully diagnosed the damage yet but there appears to be frame damage. We will return when the car is 100% and up to our standards.

Another huge shoutout to FEWLR and to my crew for helping prepare this hot rod.

Not many pictures last night since it was a hectic one.

Tough night for the 50 team but we never gave up. The car unloaded very quick and balanced on the hot track but it was all down hill from there. We chased carburetor issues for the rest of the night only to discover a fuel line leak with about 10 minutes until our race was going to start. We thought we were done.

Wesley Prucker came over and offered to help and immediately offered to lend the line off his car. I strapped in as both his crew and mine began going to work. Within minutes we had it swapped over and somehow we made it out for the feature with about 2 minutes to spare!

Thanks to Wesley’s generosity we were able to get out and make the best of a tough day. We started 17th and after all that we also blew a power steering line with 5 laps to go. I was able to muscle the car around and not lose any spots at the end to finish 11th. So glad there wasn’t another caution!

Days like these happen. I’m glad to have the support of a fantastic team that never quits!

What’s that A Day To Remember song? “Second Sucks”… This one stings but I am beyond proud of the effort of my team and network of supporters who have rallied over the past month. Between the wreck and the motor issue, we had been spending all our focus on getting the car to the track rather than making it go fast over the past few weeks. Considering the motor wasn’t even in the car until Wednesday night I refuse to complain too much about a 2nd place finish.

We missed the setup balance, although the car was quick enough to take the lead it really wasn’t handling great. We now have the time to focus more on the speed this week and we’ll get it right!

A huge shoutout to the sponsors who came on board over the past two weeks to assist with our motor issue:

My main man Chris Bagnall
Sullivan’s Premier Glass
Kris Larson
J&G Machining Co.
Aunt Phyllis
Ken @ Advanced Auto Repair

And thank you for the continued support of our season long sponsors:
